Double jaw surgery (양악수술)

Both jaws are repositioned to correct a skeletal imbalance and the malocclusion it causes. EU frames it as functional treatment rather than cosmetic surgery, performed by oral & maxillofacial surgeons together with an orthodontist.

Protruding jaw correction (주걱턱)

EU begins by separating whether the protruding jaw comes from an over-developed mandible, a retruded maxilla, or both — each requires a different surgical plan.

Facial asymmetry correction (안면비대칭)

Skeletal asymmetry is assessed across the occlusal plane, chin position and the length of each side of the jaw. EU explains that some cases need a degree of overcorrection to end up genuinely balanced.

Long face correction (긴얼굴)

A long face often comes with a gummy smile, lip incompetence and a receding chin. EU stresses diagnosis: a vertically excessive maxilla is treated by impacting the upper jaw, not by shortening the chin.

Receding chin correction (무턱)

A receding chin may come from a small mandible or a short chin point. EU chooses between double jaw surgery, mandible-only surgery or a chin advancement according to the diagnosis.

ASO surgery for mouth protrusion (돌출입)

ASO (anterior segmental osteotomy) removes premolars and moves the tooth-bearing bone segment inwards before fixing it — suited to protrusion caused by the alveolar bone rather than tooth inclination alone.

Mandible-only surgery (하악수술)

For patients whose bite and profile problem lies mainly in the lower jaw, only the mandible is repositioned, narrowing the scope of surgery compared with a two-jaw operation.

3-area facial contouring (윤곽3종)

Cheekbone reduction, square jaw reduction and genioplasty in a single operation so the line from cheekbone to chin runs smoothly. EU emphasises a narrower resection range to reduce bleeding, swelling and pain.

Cheekbone reduction (광대축소술)

The most projecting part of the zygoma is reduced, with attention to the 45° cheekbone common in Asian faces. EU raises the L-shaped osteotomy line and fixes the bone at two points to limit cheek sagging and nonunion.

V-line surgery (브이라인수술)

The angle below the ear and a blunt chin are corrected together, with a long-curved ostectomy and a T-osteotomy that narrows the chin, for a slim and balanced jawline.

Mini V-line (미니브이라인)

Only the chin is treated — when it is short, long or blunt — with a patient-specific T-osteotomy that slims the chin and the adjacent jawline without operating on the angle.

Square jaw reduction (사각턱수술)

The angle below the ear is resected in one long, continuous curve along the lateral border. EU may add cortical bone shaving and deep buccal fat removal to strengthen the frontal-view result.

Double jaw revision surgery (양악재수술)

Correcting the result of a previous jaw operation — an unsettled bite, a sunken mouth or residual asymmetry. EU advises waiting about six months after the earlier surgery and finding the true cause first.

Facial contouring revision (안면윤곽 재수술)

Correcting contouring results that fell short: an uneven jaw contour, a cheekbone still projecting at 45°, nonunion, or a chin that was shortened too far.

Orthodontics for jaw surgery (양악교정)

Orthodontics before and after jaw surgery so the teeth meet correctly in the new position and the result stays stable — carried out by the orthodontist in the same hospital as the surgical team.

Clear aligner treatment (투명교정)

Temporomandibular disorder treatment (턱관절치료)

EU runs a TMJ clinic for pain, clicking, limited opening or locking — also an essential part of planning before jaw surgery.

Post-operative care at EU (수술 후 관리)

EU's aftercare programme: inpatient monitoring by trained staff, a staged post-operative diet, the face band and wafer, antiseptic rinses, and two weeks of laser care.
