How fat is harvested and stem cells isolated

The process starts with a small liposuction (usually abdominal), followed by separation of the stromal vascular fraction (SVF) that contains stem cells. The MSCs are then expanded in the lab to a therapeutic dose. Unlike injecting fresh SVF, culture expansion delivers far more cells and allows quality measurement.
