Lifting at MOOi: forehead lift, face lift and mini lift

MOOi picks a lifting method by which layer has descended, not by age alone: a drooping forehead and brow call for a forehead lift (one to two hours), whole-face laxity needs a SMAS face lift (two to three hours, about two weeks of downtime), while the mini lift targets the cheek and lower face by pulling the retaining ligaments, SMAS, epidermis and dermis together.

Forehead lift

MOOi makes four roughly one-centimetre incisions inside the hairline and lifts the forehead layer, softening forehead lines, a dropped brow and heavy upper eyelids. Sutures come out after seven days.

SMAS face lift

A convincing face lift has to pull the SMAS layer where the sagging originates, not just the outer skin. MOOi lists two to three hours under sedation or general anaesthesia, sutures at seven and 14 days, and a return to daily life after two weeks.

Who suits a mini lift

The mini lift addresses four layers — retaining ligaments, SMAS, epidermis and dermis — so it gives a stronger pull than non-surgical tightening devices. It suits early to moderate sagging of the cheek and lower face, with about two weeks of downtime.

If surgery is not the right step yet, MOOi also offers non-surgical options — device lifting, skin boosters, filler and botulinum toxin — as an intermediate stage.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a face lift and a mini lift?
A full face lift treats whole-face descent by pulling the SMAS and takes two to three hours, while the mini lift concentrates on the cheek and lower face through smaller incisions. MOOi lists about two weeks of recovery for both before full daily activity.
At what age does a face lift make sense?
MOOi does not set a fixed age; it selects by how far each layer has descended. Patients whose laxity no longer responds to tightening devices usually benefit more from surgical lifting, so an in-person assessment comes first.
