Reading before & after on CT: how GLAM documents contouring results
Photographs show only the surface. A CT shows where the bone was cut, how far it moved, how it was fixed and whether the nerve canal is intact. That is why GLAM publishes a separate CT before/after board, and states that patients are shown their own pre- and post-operative X-rays at the first follow-up visit.

What to look at on a post-cheekbone-surgery CT
Check whether the L-osteotomy line is high and medial enough to actually reduce the 45° cheekbone, and whether the repositioned segment makes bone contact and is stably fixed. GLAM states that the main reason for cheekbone revision is that the 45° cheekbone was never really reduced.
What to look at after jaw and chin surgery
Check whether the long-curved ostectomy included the maximal volume point (MVP), whether a secondary angle was created, and — in a T-osteotomy — whether the cut avoided the nerve line and the chin segments were narrowed and pinned.
