A HemaPure day starts with check-in and vital signs, then a doctor's review of history and prior results, a baseline blood draw, and the procedure room where the line is placed and the circuit runs for one to two hours. It closes with 15–30 minutes of observation, aftercare instructions and the next booking — roughly half a day in total.
First comes check-in with blood pressure, pulse, temperature and weight. Clinics serving international clients usually offer Thai or English interpreting; confirm this when booking, because communicating about medication and allergies is a safety matter, not a convenience.
Next is the doctor's consultation. Cover every medicine and supplement, any history of easy bleeding or bruising, fainting during blood draws, chronic conditions and pregnancy. The doctor decides whether to proceed or postpone and sets the circuit volume and duration.
In the procedure room a nurse places the line, reclines the chair and starts the pump. Most clients watch something or nap while vitals are checked periodically. Report light-headedness, sudden chills or tingling lips immediately.
After the circuit ends there is pressure on the site and an observation period. Before leaving you should receive three documents: a summary of what was done, aftercare instructions and the retest or next-session date. If the clinic does not offer them, ask — you will need them when consulting a doctor back in Thailand.
Most people can, but if you have fainted during blood draws before, bring someone and do not drive yourself home.
A light meal beforehand is best, unless a fasting blood test is scheduled, which the clinic will tell you.
Short sleeves or sleeves that roll up easily, since the line stays in the inner elbow throughout.
Light work is fine, but avoid important meetings and heavy lifting with the cannulated arm.
