Deformity is quantified in degrees on standing full-leg weight-bearing radiographs, comparing the mechanical axis before and after surgery along with knee or ankle gap and rotational profile. The goal is an axis that passes back through the centre of the knee.

Timeline from surgery to normal life

Why doesn't a normal X-ray show torsion?

A plain X-ray is a two-dimensional frontal image, so it shows angular deformity only. Torsion must be measured on CT or 3D imaging, which the institute uses alongside EOS for surgical planning.
