Thermage FLX

Monopolar radiofrequency that tightens the whole dermis

Thermage FLX — Lienjang Plastic Surgery

In short

Thermage FLX uses monopolar radiofrequency to heat the dermis evenly while cooling the surface, tightening lax skin, softening wrinkles and smoothing texture across the whole face, including the eye area and neck. A session runs about 45–90 minutes with no downtime, and the result keeps improving for two to six months.

Session time
About 45–90 minutes depending on shot count
Downtime
No downtime; slight redness for a few hours
Result & repeat
Builds over 2–6 months; repeat every 12–18 months

How it works

Radiofrequency passes through the skin and heats the collagen layer, contracting existing collagen fibres immediately and stimulating new collagen afterwards, while the tip sprays cryogen to protect the surface.

What the clinic highlights

  • Heats an area rather than points like HIFU, so it focuses on overall smooth tightness.
  • Face, eye and body tips are available.
  • One session is the standard protocol — no long course required.

FAQ

  • Thermage or Ulthera — which one?

Thermage focuses on overall dermal tightening and smoothness; Ulthera lifts the deep SMAS layer. Many patients combine them for both lift and tightness.

  • Can it really be done around the eyes?

Yes — there is a dedicated eye tip, used with protective eye shields.

  • Does the number of shots matter?

Yes. The right shot count for your face size and laxity determines the outcome; the doctor assesses this beforehand.
